Half Belgian, half Igorota Roxanne Allison Baeyens from Baguio City was hailed as the new Miss Philippines Earth 2020 and made history in winning the first virtual coronation July 5, Sunday. Among 33 alluring ladies from all over the Philippines, Roxanne Baeyens from the "summer capital of the philippines" flaunted her charm and intelligence to show how it takes to win the crown.
During the pageant, final five candidates were asked "What important quality should a leader display amidst a pandemic?" Roxanne's winning answer was "A leader should display having a green thumb because at this point in time we have a shortage in food supply so it's important to open the eyes of people to embrace having a sustainable life to start urban agriculture at their own homes after all a green life is a better life and I hope the leader will give that to us."
She has 4 year journey in pageantry before crowned as Miss Philippines, she won as first runner ups in Miss Tourism Student Philippines 2017 Nationals, Miss Silka Philippines 2018 Nationals, and Miss Tourism and Culture Universe 2019 1st Runner-Up. Roxanne finished Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Major in Travel and Tours Management in 2018 at Saint Louis University. Roxanne is signed under Cornerstone Entertainment Inc., which also counts the 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray as a talent.
The 23-year-old beauty queen is set to represent the country in the Miss Earth pageant in November.
