Keeping up with the trend ‘work from home’ is a must for University of the Cordilleras’ instructors as the said institution continue their academic year 2019-2020.
Due to the pandemic, UC is just one of those many institutions which academic year was not completed. And as the institution strive for education along with their philosophy “no child left behind”, the administration aspired to continue their class through online distance learning.

Thus, instructors are expected to incorporate the use of technologies in delivering their lessons. With the sudden change, many instructors were put into great shock on how they will utilize technology in teaching.
Instructors were directed to use canvas and zoom as their main platform during the third semester of ODL. Which made them more uncomfortable for everyone was new with the said tribune. Because of this, the administration conducted several webinars to address the concerns of instructors regarding the use of canvas and for them to train them as well on how to effectively use variety of strategies on how to utilize resources for teaching.
Moreover, UC started using Facebook, Messenger and Google classroom for the completion of the second trimester and instructors were also mandated to have their FB accounts for educational purposes before using the canvas as their medium of instruction.
The pandemic has truly affected everything, with these abrupt changes especially in educational system, UC’s administration is doing their best to train the instructors in delivering their lessons and maintains the quality education through ODL.
